When I'm not writing, coaching, or directing, I spend time in my studio exploring new skills and hobbies. Here are some examples of my work to enjoy!

Three women and a person in an eccentric costume with a large puppet head are on a stage, smiling and posing for the camera, with colorful artwork and stage equipment in the background.

The Playground by Bryony Lavery was a children’s play which I directed. I worked with a design company Strangeworks to create giant-sized puppets as part of my concept. Each puppet was manipulated by between 3 and 5 different 10 year old children. Here is an example of one of the puppets we created. The other ones were aerial puppets which flew over the audience.

Art Work

I have been experimenting with various techniques and materials in my studio, gaining new ideas and insights that inspire my artistic journey.

Pumpkin Carving and Christmas Wreath-making.

Every year at Art in the Park, where I am lucky enough to have a studio space, I help run pumpkin carving workshops for Halloween and wreath-making ones for Christmas. Solo pictures are my creations.

Stop-Motion Armature Puppet Construction

This is Margie (working name!) from a small stop-motion film idea I'm slowly working on. It's a real labour of love as the process is painstakingly slow but very therapeutic and rewarding!
